From her first hotel experience as a child, Amalie knew hotels were her thing. With the excitement of being ‘away’ twinned with the decadence of room service, spoily bathroom products, massive tvs, fluffy towels, breakfast buffets and taking a lift to the pool, she loves a good hotel stay.

Having worked agency side for 6 years in London and New York, in-house for 8 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and now as a pr consultant, Amalie has stayed in hotels big and small, 3 star and up, from boutique, to business to bonkers. She’s helped hotels open (and close) and renovate over 17 years, working with owners, designers, developers, architects, chefs, revenue managers, GMs, housekeepers, cocktail mixers and concierges.

These days her wanderlust is slightly curtailed with two sons in tow so hotel heaven is now somewhere that all ages and stages are happy i.e. sunshine, a Kids Club, a short airport transfer, a heated pool, a heavenly bed, good people watching and a long cocktail menu –  and where there are other children more rowdy than hers.  As well as hotels Amalie loves the beach, being on boats, Dolly Parton, Suits and white Toblerone.
