“I see my space evolving into other creative fields.” Bwoy Wonder

Bwoy Wonder is the 2014 winner of Creative Pioneers run in conjunction with the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and endorsed by Metro newspaper, and creative agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi.  A nationwide search to find the best creatives in the UK’s creative and digital media industry for entrepreneurship opportunities to kick-start their career in creativity.

“I am Bwoy Wonder, the Plastic Surgeon. As a child I didn’t possess the luxury of having many toys at my disposal, but the one toy I was blessed with having was my box of Lego.”

“Why buy a Transformer when you can build one yourself?,  would be my father’s response whenever we wandered past a store. He had been buying me Lego for years to train my brain into thinking like an engineer but also to be creative with a dynamic and reusable medium. I never forgot that.”

THC: What inspires you?

BW: My surrounding environment inspires me. Theres always something interesting even in the most supposedly mundane place.

THC: How did you get into your business?

BW: I got into my business primarily through my love for design and lego. I graduated with a degree in product design and wanted to mix my, then hobby into a business on a bigger platform.

THC: What are you working on right now?

BW: We are currently working on an exclusive art exhibition that will house our project The Lego Warriors. I am also building more masks and recruiting more warriors.

THC: How do you see your space evolving?

BW: I see my space evolving into other creative fields. My work has been popular in the music foray, I believe it will delve into film and video.

THC: Who’s your hero or icon?

BW: My father is my hero. He raised 4 children on his own.

THC: Where’s your favourite spot around the world?

BW: To know my favourite spot around the world I would have had to have visited a fair few places!  I have not travelled enough just yet to answer this question.
