Best Known For
When legendary founders of Morgans Hotel Group Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell closed Studio 54 the much used press line was ‘the party is over’.

The Good Stuff
I love hotels for many reasons – art, culture and theatre. And this hotel is the most theatrical you will ever come across. On arrival at the hotel you’ll witness a long lobby space, double height ceilings, bars tucked away to the left and right. At the end of that corridor you’ll see a restaurant terrace overlooking an Alice in Wonderland style garden with Cabana’s off to the left and oversize chess pieces and hammocks to the right. Just passed that you’ll see a swimming pool, but not just any pool. One that you dive into and, underwater, have the unbridled luxury of listening to Beethoven’s 6th Symphony , or is it the 5th, either way, sublime. From there you have a beach bar, and oh, yes, Miami beach. The bedrooms are simply beautiful, minimalist and quite naturally Starck, Phillipe Starck that is. The real elegance in these rooms is in their sense of timelessness, their artful nature and of course, the theatre of it all colliding.
The Vibe
This hotel and many others within the Morgans Hotel Group portfolio are evidence that the party is very much alive, kicking and in Miami.

Inside the hotel – 10/10
The hotel features some of the best cuisine in Miami as well an achingly hip lobby and pool scene. Fantastic service and great design.

Outside the hotel – 10/10
Miami Beach, South Beach, need we say more?
