Contributors / September 27, 2016

Originally from the UK, Mark is a design director and hospitality consultant based out of Singapore. Before heading to Asia in 2012, Mark spent 15 years training in London, New York and Rotterdam with some of the industries true pioneers; including Soho House Group and Philip Starck.

A firm believer that the art of hospitality is not in the product but in the experience, (meaningful + original experiences) Mark is constantly striving to define and extract the essence in the ‘ultimate stay’. Mark’s consultancy work keeps him on the pulse, with recent projects such as ‘Understanding the impact of the Millennial traveller’ and ‘The Positive disruption of the host (Airbnb) movement’ – both of which he believes are set to define and disrupt the next-generation of lifestyle hotels.

Either through his work and travels or in his personal time exploring the charms of South-East Asia, Mark is always on the look out for the unexpected or a simple “Welcome Home” at the next destination.
