Hairstylist Errol Douglas is among the cream of the hairdressing industry and a favourite among clients and industry peers alike. Renowned for his stunning photographic, session and show work, Errol has won several awards and opened his Belgravia salon in 1998, welcoming a diverse clientele and several high profile clients in fashion, film, music and business.
In 2013, he secured the coveted Hair Magazine’s “Hair Hero” award, the Creative Head Most Wanted “Creative Talent” award and received his 17th consecutive nomination for British Hairdresser Of The Year. Errol has also taken the helm of the Fellowship For British Hairdressing as its President, confirming his vision for his tenure to include the championing of young industry talent and an international profile for UK Hairdressing. A range of Errol Douglas electrical tools, including the first Keratin Capsule System Heated Styler on the high street, launched in Boots Stores in July 2013. Travelling extensively for session work, fashion weeks and events, Errol’s passions beyond hair include the cities he’s discovered, particularly their art and food scenes.
He’s a Bikram Yoga devotee: “Nothing gets me in the zone for full on salon and backstage days like it” and never travels anywhere without his second Ipad just for mood-boarding – “future collection creative is everywhere, I don’t like to miss any opportunity to snap, clip and file for future inspiration. As The Hotel Culture looks to democratise travel, so I seek to do the same with creativity – explore, observe and share my take through my work”
