1888 Hotel, Sydney

Best Known For
This is a Sydney haven drawing creatives in need of a non-convention bolt-hole… when they’re attending conventions.  A strong word of mouth “go here” whisper in fashion and beauty.  As “darling” as it’s location close to the famous harbour of the same name.

The Good Stuff
A bed so comfortable it provokes a “Where Am I?” deep sleep wake EVERY morning… and a bathroom so deserving of its own postcode. A generosity on space that’s brilliant for longer work stays – a Junior Suite was palatial.

The Vibe
Loft merges with industrial for the perfect blend of laid back and statement décor – exposed brick and iron bark beams softened by concealed uplighting. The staff’s muted sense of style nods to attire you’d see at a Bulgari or Armani property. The ultra friendly, all local insider knowledge attitude, makes the vibe.

Inside the hotel – 8/10
This is a great location for work trips with days constantly on the go, snacks on the run are plenty and the bar acts as a centre piece to really encourage mingling. From books to leaving messages on a communal table, the bar encourages conversation and is great at the beginning or end of a long day. Hey, there’s even a “Selfie Space” in the lobby – the 2014 ice breaker surely…

Outside the hotel – 9/10
Darling Harbour, Convention Centre, Bondi and dining – all right there.
