Tet Rouge, who’s name is derived from the red roofs that top the buildings, is the smallest hotel on St. Lucia with only six rooms. The Good Stuff
The stay at Tet Rouge seemed like we’d won the lottery, as we almost had our own private driver, chef, waiter and barman. The staff were there to service our every need and as we’d taken up the all-inclusive option, everything was perfect. Everyone was super friendly and attentive and even the owners took time out to have lunch with us. Nothing was too much for Sorin and his wife Diana, and when I said I might propose to my girlfriend, they suggested a sunset catamaran cruise, on their own personal boat the Gone Tropical. It was a once-in-a-life-time opportunity, in one of the most romantic places in the world, and if you were wondering, my girlfriend, now fiancée, said yes, how could she not!
The Vibe
In such a small, but perfectly formed hotel, the vibes are whatever you want them to be. Lounging by the infinity pool, drinking a cocktail, looking out across the Caribbean sea, dreaming of (pirate) adventures, whilst hummingbirds buzz overhead – well that’s what we did and you can see why it’s a honeymooners favourite. Tet Rouge is perfect for kicking back, relaxing, putting your phone down, your out of office on and picking up that book you’ve been meaning to read, and actually finishing it!
Inside the Hotel – 8/10

Inside the Hotel – 8/10
The amazing 40 foot infinity pool, with a swim-up bar, is the centre piece of the hotel. But the huge spacious rooms are equally impressive with high ceilings, designer wooden fans, four-poster beds, two showers – one inside and the other out, unique wooden floors, and mezzanine kitchen. There is also a large patio where you can eat your meals, which was some of the best food we had on the island, and the rooms also come with your own private hammock which is a delight to sit in while the the palm trees sway overhead. There is also the option for spa treatments and yoga classes on request.
Outside the Hotel – 6/10
Situated between Saint Lucia’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gros Piton and the Caribbean Sea, guests have a host of hiking, snorkelling and rainforest adventures on their doorstep. Private dinners can be organised on Anse L’Ivrogne beach only a stones throw away and lush tropical gardens surround the hotel, but if you can think it up, they’ll do their best to make it happen! Sorin also showed us around their new 100 seater restaurant, the Soley Kouche, which is to open next year, situated about 2km away from the resort, it will be a great addition to this little piece of paradise.
