Alicja McCarthy is a freelance writer based in London. She is editor-at-large of We Heart, the design led lifestyle magazine. She also regularly contributes to Travel+ travel magazine in China and Candid mens lifestyle magazine plus various other on and off-line titles including Drink Factory, Root & Bone and A Hotel Life.

Her biggest passion is experience-led travel that includes food, art, design, architecture, craft and all things ‘creative’. With an eye on design she is keen to speak to the people behind the projects, no matter how big, lavish or small and humble.

Her writing is in a narrative and convivial style and where she can, Alicja likes to sift through the hype or noise to discover the talent responsible.
